South African voters can apply for a Special Vote in upcoming election 3 August.
A Special Vote mean that you can go and vote the voting station where you are registered on either 1 or 2 August.
That means that if you are working on 3 August, or will not be in town on 3 August, or you incabable of standing in long queues, you can apply for a Special Vote via SMS.
All you have to do is send an sms containing your ID number to 32249.
You should then receive a confirmation that your application have been approved and also at what voting station you have been registered to vote.
The applications close today 8 July.
