The former leader of the DA, and current Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille will be visiting Kouga this weekend.

Zille will speak at a rally at the Sea Vista Sports Field on Saturday morning at 11.00 am.

Helen is hugely popular in the Kouga and spent time campaigning here in the 2011 local government election, as well as the 2013 bi-elections that took place in Humansdorp and Hankey.

Her visit follows that on Mmusi Maimane, who was in Hankey yesterday for a street meeting with Athol Trollip, the DA’s Mayoral candidate in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.

The rally at the Sea Vista Sports Field will be held in a tent as some rain is expected.

“We invite all our communities to come and join us and to meet Helen on Saturday,” said Elza Van Lingen, the DA’s Mayoral candidate in Kouga.

The meeting will begin at 11 am.

The DA will also be holding their provincial executive meeting in Cape St Francis over the weekend.
