On Monday, DA leader, Mmusi Maimane, accompanied by Athol Trollip, traveled through from Port Elizabeth to visit the Kouga town of Humansdorp.
Before the main speech, Mmusi, along with Athol Trollip and Kouga Mayoral candidate, Elza van Lingen, paid a visit to Kwananzamo in order to connect with its residents on a more personal level.
On arrival they were quickly encircled by many members of the community, cheering excitedly.
Athol began by addressing the community with an admirable and vibrant message in isiXhosa. Mmusi then addressed the crowd by passionately speaking about the mission of the DA.
After his address, Mmusi was surrounded by tumultuous applause and high-pitched cheers.
The DA team then made the short trip to Arcadia where just under 1000 excited supporters were waiting.
Mmusi made an invigorating speech. Each spectator cheered harmoniously, as he stood on a platform sharing his dream and passion for the New South Africa where every man, woman and child has equal opportunity.
With each passing second, the energy grew and at the end of his speech, the people threw their fists in the air as a sign of becoming united as one.
