The first voter re-registration weekend will be taking place on 5/6 March in cities and towns across South Africa.
Many people ask the question: When would I need to re-register?
You would only need to re-register if you have moved away from the place you voted at during the 2011 Municipal elections.
You may also need to re-register if you have moved to a new suburb in the town or city in which you reside.

The local government elections are held every five years and determine who will govern your municipality for the next five years.
It is the only time you can have a say as to which political party makes the decisions that directly impact on your life.
If you don’t vote, you don’t have a say!
The DA believes we can win Kouga and bring good governance to the Kouga Municipality. However, we need all our supporters to be registered to vote to make this vision a reality.
