Power failure in Kouga

The power to the entire Kouga region is off due to a problem on the Eskom lines.

There is also no power in parts of Tsisikamma.

Affected towns include Jeffreys Bay, St Francis Bay and Humansdorp, who have all been impacted by the power failure.

“Eskom says that they are searching for the fault and cannot yet say when the power will be restored,” said Laura Leigh Randall from the Kouga Municipality.

Last December Jeffreys Bay experienced a three day power failure that saw businesses in the area lose millions of rand in peak holiday season.
