The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced mid-year grant increases which will be effected on 1 October 2015.

The affected social grants include Older Persons Grant (old age pension), Disability Grant, War Veterans’ Grant and Care Dependency Grant.

Following the increase the amounts payable for each grant will be as follows as of 1 October 2015:

”    Older Persons Grant:     R1 420.00
”    Disability Grant:         R1 420.00
”    War Veterans’ Grant:    R1 440.00
”    Care Dependency Grant    R1 420.00
