The infrastructure is already crumbling in Kouga
You are hereby invited to find out the facts from two authorities on the subject of municipal infrastructure preparedness for a power plant construction, as well as the impact on the economy of a rural municipality.
Astrid Basson is a councillor in the Lephalale Municipality and her husband Dries Basson is a councillor in the Waterberg District Municipality in Limpopo.
Both have played a major role in dealing with the municipal challenges presented by the construction of the R 154 billion Medupi power plant.
“As a DA winnable municipality in the upcoming 2016 municipal elections, it is important for the DA to act pro-actively and gain the necessary information that may influence Kouga’s planning and municipal budget,” said Elza Van Lingen, the leader of the DA in Kouga.
