The Department of Home Affairs says it will open all its offices across the country tomorrow from 7am to 9pm.
It says this is in line with voting hours declared by the Independent Electoral Commission to assist citizens with the necessary enabling documents for purposes of voting.
Department spokesperson, Ronnie Mamoepa says these documents include temporary identity certificates and also the issuing letters of confirmation of identity.
Home Affairs takes this opportunity to remind members of the public that President Jacob Zuma has declared Wednesday, 07 May 2014 as a national holiday to allow citizens more time to vote.
All Home Affairs officials who will be working on Wednesday 07 May 2014 have been afforded an opportunity alongside all other essential services to cast special votes across the country to enable them to serve the citizenry to the best of their ability on voting day.
