Ward 5 Councillor Desmond Peterson organised a thanksgiving service in Kruisforntein, following the by-election late last year.

About 80 DA supporters attended the service which included Cllr Eugene Goliath who opened proceedings.

” It was actually a thanksgiving service that was planned to have happened after the by-election in November.Unfortunately due to the death of Madiba all political activities were stopped and then it was Christmas holidays,” said Cllr Peterson.

The DA support grew in Ward 5 during the by-election where Cllr Peterson defeated Kouga Mayor Booi Koerat, who stood at the ANC candidate in the by-election.
