The President has announced the national and provincial Election Day will be on the 7 May 2014.

Even though the announcement has been made, the President is yet to publish the date in the Government Gazette. This means that if you were unable to register on the last registration weekend on the 8th and 9th February, you are still able to register at your local IEC Office.

Once the President gazettes the Election Day before the end of February, the voters roll be officially closed.

To check your registration status you can SMS your ID number to 32810. If you need help in registering, you can call the IEC call centre on 0800 11 8000 (open 8am to 5pm)

We urge all South Africans who want to see positive change in our country to go out, register and vote DA.
